Juggling a full-time corporate job and two blogs turns out to be quite a challenge. For this blog, I'm usually more laid-back. I don't really plan ahead what I write, nor do I make an outline or anything like that. To put it simply, I write more or less on a whim here.
Meanwhile, my other blog, Rolife Coaster, is more challenging but also easier in its own way. I tend to write more straightforwardly there, with little to no metaphor or imagery. If this blog is a diary full of stories from the deepest corners of my mind, Rolife Coaster is a collection of stories I share with others about my daily life. It challenges me to write more creatively—in the most mundane way possible.
Even though the two blogs are quite different, I feel that some posts from my lifestyle blog might still appeal to your literary taste. Here are a few I think you should check out (and I promise I'll be posting new posts soon!):
A short appreciation post for Jakarta and its unsung heroes.
A general musing on the importance of goals in your mid-twenties (or perhaps the lack thereof).
A heartfelt post celebrating my mom's birthday, starting with a mention of my childhood and continuing with a reflection on her lifelong love for her daughters.
A short narrative about my first (failed) attempts at cutting mangoes, leading to a reflection on adulting.
A quick update on my mango-cutting journey.
